1. Product Overview
IS220PPRFH1A (PPRF = PROFIBUS Master Gateway Pack) is a dedicated industrial communication gateway module for GE Mark VIe turbine distributed control system, acting as the bridge between PROFIBUS DP field instruments and the Mark VIe Ethernet main control network.
Equipped with built-in Hilscher industrial PROFIBUS communication chip, it serves as a Class1 DPV0 master station, capable of connecting up to 125 PROFIBUS DP slaves including transmitters, valve positioners, frequency converters and local PLCs. It converts PROFIBUS RS485 field bus data into SRTP Ethernet protocol for high-speed real-time interaction with Mark VIe main CPU via rack backplane dual Ethernet ports.
Supports two redundancy schemes: hot standby dual-PPRF active/passive seamless switchover, and cold spare offline backup replacement. Each slave device supports maximum 244 bytes input + 244 bytes output process data mapping, fully synchronizing field pressure, temperature, flow, valve feedback and control commands to the turbine control logic.
Front panel DE-9 D-sub connector provides PROFIBUS DP wiring interface; multi-group LED indicators display PROFIBUS bus status, Ethernet link, module running and fault alarm signals. Full conformal coated PCB, explosion-proof certified design, suitable for power plant, petrochemical and other hazardous area turbine control cabinets. It must be paired with Mark VIe rack backplane, 28VDC power supply and IS200SPIDG1A terminal board to work normally, cannot operate independently.
This module is a standard spare part for old Mark VIe gas/steam turbine units, widely used for unit renovation, PROFIBUS field bus expansion and communication module fault replacement maintenance.
